With our rich biodiversity, Uttara Kannada has been recognized as one of the finest birding and trekking destinations in South India. We offer a variety of nature walks and treks (accompanied by a trained guide).

Participate in an exciting ecological experiment as you learn different methods of cultivation being practiced here. You will learn first hand about the broad diversity of plants ,trees and their many uses. Over 100 species have been spotted on our property and the surrounding area, including Orioles, Drongos, Flycatchers and more .

About Uttara Kannada :

Uttara Kanara is significantly well known district in the State of Karnataka.The district is covered with 70% of forest and the coastal areas - Malenadu and Bayaluseeme. Due to its rich forest
cover, it brings an average rainfall of 3000 mm. This rain forms numerous waterfalls in the valleys. Hence, the district is also known as '"District of Waterfalls". It is a heaven for tourists.
Uttara Kanara was home of the Kadamba Kingdom, who started ruling at Banavasi. The district has varied culture, art, and history. It is also rich in its both terrestrial and coastal biodiversity.

Itinerary :

Day 0 : Departure from Majestic Metro at 09:45 PM .

Day 1 :
Arrive at Sirsi Research Station and freshen up.
a) Introduction to nature and sustainable farming and Nature
Awareness Skills.
b) Visit to Unchalli falls after lunch.
c) Visit to Bheemanavare Gudda, to view the beautiful sunset.
d) Fire by Friction and documentary show.
e) Night Walk (Optional) .

Day 2
a) Bird Language and Connection between Art and Ecology .
b) Visit to Sahasralinga , Banavasi , Rock Garden .
c) Reach Majestic Bangalore by 10:30 PM .
