Experiences one of the most thrilling & adventurous treks in the pristine Zanskar Valley climbing the icy rocks and boulders throughout 70 odd kms of this trail walking on the sheets of ice, the frozen river. This hike offers extremely challenging & spectacular routes with varying temperature drops throughout the expedition. This is unlike any other trek, and makes any trekking enthusiast revive and relive the mesmeric snow capped mountains of the Himalayas.

Itinerary :

DAY 01 : Landing in Leh (Complete Rest in Leh for acclimatisation)
Take the morning flight for Leh. Check into the guest house and relax the whole day. This is necessary for getting acclimatised. Overnight at the guesthouse.

DAY 02 : Leh - Tilat sumdo
In the morning drive to chilling along with our porters from Zanskar,( 3hrs driving) overnight at camp in Tilat sumdo.

DAY 03 : Tilat sumdo - shingrak
We begin our Chadar trek by walking on the frozen Zanskar river from Tilat sumdo - shingrak. The trek is of about 5 hours. Overnight at Camp.

DAY 04 : Shingrak - Tibba .
Walk on the frozen Zanskar river for about 4 hours from shingrak to dip. Overnight at Camp.

DAY 05 : Tibba - nyarak
Walk for almost 4 to 5 hours from Dip to reach nyarak before the Nyarak village. Over night at Camp.

DAY 06 : Nyarak - Tibba
Walk for almost 4 to 5 hours from nyarak to dip. Over night at Camp.

DAY 07 : Tibba - shingrak
Walk on the frozen Zanskar river for about 4 hours from dip to shingrak. Overnight at Camp

DAY 08: Shingrak - Tilat sumdo to leh
We end our Chadar trek by walking on the frozen Zanskar river from shingrak to Tilat sumdo and after reaching at Tilat sumdo we drive to leh by jeep ( 3hrs )....overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Leave for take a flight in the morning .

Day 10: Buffer Day [HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]


Participants are advised to keep 1 Buffer day (Day 9) for any emergencies which may occur on the Chadar trek . In case if the same is utilized there will be an additional charge of Rs.2750 per participant which needs to be paid at Leh.
